Goalkeeper: Giorgi Mamardashvili (Valencia | La Liga) – 8.50 rating

Valencia fell to a 1-0 loss at Villarreal but goalkeeper Mamardashvili did all he could to help Los Che to a positive result. Indeed, the 23-year-old made six saves in total, including a first-half penalty stop to deny Álex Baena.

Centre-back: Antonio Raíllo (Mallorca | La Liga) – 8.58

Mallorca made it back-to-back home league wins at Granada’s expense with Raíllo key. The centre-back netted his third league goal of the season in Saturday’s 1-0 victory, while nine aerial duels won and two clearances helped his side to a vital victory.

Centre-back: Florian Lejeune (Rayo Vallecano | La Liga) – 8.41

Lejeune bagged his second league goal of the season as Rayo claimed a 2-0 home win over Real Betis on Sunday. With seven clearances, three blocks, three tackles and two interceptions, Lejeune put in a solid rearguard display as Los Franjirrojos ended a nine-game winless run in style.

Centre-back: Sepp van den Berg (Mainz | Bundesliga) – 8.32

Van den Berg put in a solid display in Mainz’s 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Bochum. The young Dutchman ensured the Mainz backline wasn’t breached on Saturday as he won 10 aerial duels, made six clearances and three interceptions.

Right midfield: Junya Ito (Reims | Ligue 1) – 8.43

Ito netted his third league goal of the season as Reims claimed a 2-1 win over Metz. The 31-year-old struck with only effort on goal, and was unfortunate not to grab an assist having made six key passes, as Reims ended a four-game home winless run.

Central midfield: Vitinha (PSG | Ligue 1) – 9.57

Vitinha was directly involved in three of PSG’s six goals as the Ligue 1 leaders cruised to a 6-2 win at Montpellier. Vitinha scored the opener with one of four shots and went on to register a brace of assists from two key passes. The 24-year-old recycled possession effectively, too, as he found a teammate with 93% of his 86 attempted passes.

Central midfield: Lorenzo Pellegrini (Roma | Serie A) – 9.11

Roma gave their top four hopes a boost as they beat relegation-threatened Sassuolo at the Olimpico on Sunday, with Pellegrini the star of the show. The midfielder netted Roma’s only goal of the game and went on to make four dribbles, three key passes and two tackles.

Left midfield: Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich | Bundesliga) – 10.0

Musiala maintained his fine form with a brace in Bayern Munich’s 5-2 win at Darmstadt. The 21-year-old struck with two of nine shots and was unfortunate not to add an assist having made seven key passes. An additional 10 successful dribbles capped a memorable display from the Germany international.

Right wing: Rayan Cherki (Lyon | Ligue 1) – 9.47

Cherki made a game-changing contribution from the bench in Lyon’s 3-2 win at Toulouse on Friday night. Cherki was directly involved in two goals, hitting the back of the net with one of three shots and providing one assist with one of two key passes, and he completed eight dribbles. Not bad for a 24-minute cameo.

Striker: Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona | La Liga) – 9.21

Barcelona hitman Lewandowski was directly involved in all three goals at Atletico Madrid on Sunday night. Lewandowski followed up his assist for João Félix‘s opener with a goal shortly after the break. The 35-year-old then added his second assist midway through the second half for Fermín López to score.

Left wing: Kylian Mbappé (PSG | Ligue 1) – 10.0

Mbappé put in a wonderful display in PSG’s 6-2 win at Montpellier, with the France star directly involved in four goals. Mbappé provided the assist for Vitinha’s opening goal and went on to bag a hat trick from respective returns of three key passes and four shots.
